About your coach

I've been in the room. On both sides of the table.

5 years as a firefighter. 5 years as a police officer. I've sat on interview panels as an assessor — and I've scored top marks as a candidate. I know exactly what panelists are looking for, because I've been one.

How this started

When I was going through the hiring process myself, I helped friends prepare for their interviews along the way. I watched talented people stumble — not because they weren't qualified, but because nobody had taught them how to perform in a panel setting.

I put in the work. I practiced relentlessly, studied the process inside and out, and cracked the code to what panels are actually looking for. The result: I scored top marks — one of only two candidates to do so in my intake for a major Canadian police service.

Then I crossed to the other side of the table. I've assessed candidates as a panel member — I've held the scoring sheet, watched candidates answer under pressure, and seen exactly what separates a pass from a fail. That experience is built into every session I run.

Since then, 15 candidates have come back to tell me they aced their interview using my method. This isn't theory. It's a proven system built from real experience on both sides of the hiring process.

Why my method works

Panel interviews for police and fire services follow patterns. There are frameworks they use, values they're scoring, and behaviours they're watching for. I know those patterns from both directions — as a candidate who cracked them, and as an assessor who applied them. Most candidates walk in unprepared for the format, not the job. I teach you exactly how to structure your answers, carry yourself, and respond under pressure so the panel sees what they need to see.
